Educating through play is the cornerstone philosophy at Play with Purpose. Founder Lynn DeSalvo incorporates this philosophy into her play programs, workshops, and consulting services.
Lynn is available as a play and communication facilitator in the classroom setting, where she works one-on-one with students, teaching them how to integrate, engage, and socialize with other students. She’s also available virtually on Zoom!
Consulting
Do you have children on the autism spectrum or with other special needs in your classroom? Are you looking for ways to integrate and engage all of your students? Would you or your school benefit from having a play consultant on-hand to guide you in learning how to teach through the elements of play?
Lynn DeSalvo is a 25-year veteran in the art of play. She is available to consult either in person or virtually via Zoom with parents, teachers and administrators, and speech/language pathologists. While she works primarily in the state of New Jersey, she is available for out-of-state consultations as well. Please contact Play with PurposePurpose directly for scheduling and more information.
Cost: Consulting services are one-on-one and are $130 per hour (not including travel expenses).
Story Time
Looking to bring some excitement and enrichment to your preschool classroom? Lynn DeSalvo, MS, CCC-SLP of Play with Purpose can provide weekly or monthly extended storytimes either in person or virtually, sure to delight your students! She has experience in both typically developing students as well as extensive experience with children with special needs. Story Time packages include:
– Storytime with added activity, lasting up to one hour for preschool classrooms.
– Typically developing student class sizes can be up to 25.
– Special needs classes (flexible, depending on needs).

Workshops
Lynn offers a variety of professional development workshops for teachers, aides, and speech-language therapists that focus on integrating her programs and collaborating in the classroom. Her workshops take an education through play approach. She also has educational workshops for parents where she offers tips and tools for using daily routines at home to expand a child’s receptive and expressive language skills.
